X-lite was alright too, but I outgrew it’s limitations. Other than a couple codec limitations their basic functionality is similar enough that I’d recommend both. We use Skype for Business at work, it’s meh but does the job. I know Avaya also offers a SIP. This option will only work if you configure the phone type on the Cisco Callmanager as Cisco Softphone instead of the standard 3rd party sip softphone.
